Mrs. Haithcock was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Chesterfield County, S.C. She was a daughter of the late Lonnie Franklin and Grabiel Purvis Jordan. She retired in July 1989 from Fieldcrest Cannon Mills in the sheet department and fabric print department of Plant 1 as a stenographer. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church.
Mrs. Haithcock is survived by her husband, James Harold Haithcock, whom she married Oct. 26, 1946; daughter Sandra Albertson, Thomasville; son Randy Haithcock, Archdale; sister Ester J. Baker, Ruby, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at First Wesleyan Church, conducted by Dr. Forbis Kivett and the Rev. Wayne Preusz. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
