Death of Mrs Mary Tracy
Hinsdale - The news of the death of Mrs Mary Tracy, 82, widow of Charles K Tracy of Hinsdale, at the home of her son, Frederick N Sears of Holyoke, was received yesterday. She was born at Peru, and was a daughter of Nathaniel and Polly (Phillips) Butts. She was married to Philip H Sears of Lenox, February 5, 1849. He died in California [sic - N.C.]. Her marriage to Mr Tracy took place September 2, 1872, Rev. Eli Dewhurst, then of Hinsdale, performing the cemetery. Mr Tracy died at Hinsdale. Mrs Tracy was a member of the Congregational church of Hinsdale. She is survived by three sons, Frank Sears of California, F.N.Sears of Holyoke and Henry P Sears of Brooklyn, N.Y. It is probable the burial will be in Hinsdale.
