The death of Mrs Sallie Lipp occurred at her home in Kilmore Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock following an illness of several weeks duration.
She was born in Preble county, Ohio, May 24, 1845, and at the time of her death was 89 years ten months and five days of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Peters of Ohio.
On January 6, 1869 she was united in marriage to Madison Lipp of Clinton county, where they spent their entire married life. To this union were born three sons and six daughters. Her husband and two sons, George M. and Charles Lipp, preceded her in death a number of years ago. The following children survive her: Misses Nora and Amanda Lipp, residing at home; H. N. Lipp of Colfax; Mrs. Oscar Sheets of near Kilmore; Mrs. E. P. Hammack, Mrs. Harry Vols and Mrs. William Krammas of Frankfort; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
One brother, Josiah Peters of Eaton, O., and a large number of relatives and friends will be deeply grieved at her passing away. Mrs. Lipp was a member of the Kilmore M.E. church.
Brief services will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Sunday and at the Kilmore M. E. church at 2:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. Loveland and Rev. C. R. Earl and Rev. I. G. Mooreof Frankfort. Mrs. Lipp was a woman of beautiful christian character and will be greatly missed.
