Elaine Estella (Stahl) Lindoo, age 88, of Coral Springs, FL, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born on January 28, 1933, in Aurora, IL, and graduated from West Aurora High School in 1951. She married Robert Rodney Lindoo on July 18, 1952, and recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.
In addition to raising three wonderful children, Elaine managed the financial records for their family business, A. Lindoo Building Maintenance, for nearly four decades. As a life-time member of the Fox Valley Animal Welfare League, she served on the Board of Directors for 45 years and was Vice President for more than half that time. She was instrumental in many of the league's fundraising endeavors. Elaine was also a proud member of The Women of the Moose Lodge.
She enjoyed gardening with her daughter and was extremely proud of the hundreds of lilies that continue to bloom in her absence. In her later years, she devoted much of her time to tracing several generations of her family's ancestry, as far back as the 1700s.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Lindoo, of Stuart, FL. One daughter and two sons: Kari Anne (Gene) Lody of Aurora, IL; Dr. Edward (Linda) Lindoo of Stuart, FL; and Rodney (Rebecca) Lindoo of Ann Arbor, MI. Four grandchildren: Tiffany (Bryan Grant and Scott Sebree) Grant of Eustis, FL; Dr. Amanda (Norman) Lindoo-Sun of Bristol, England; Adam Lindoo of Chattanooga, TN; and Cory (Leah) Lody of Alsip, IL. Three great grandchildren: Kaylee, Bryson and Rowan Grant of Eustis, FL. Four step grandchildren: Brian Guzzo of West Palm Beach, FL; Luanne (Neil) Bartoletta of Niwot, CO; Michael McClain of Chicago, IL; and Maxwell Barry of Ann Arbor, MI. Two step great grandchildren: Adam and Lindsey Bartoletta of Niwot, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Caroline "Carrie" (Fenton) Stahl; her ten cats: Flossie, Gismo, Suzie, Tommy, Mitzy, Freddie, Missy, Molly, Evita and Roxy; and four dogs: Pal, Tony, Fritz and Dutchess.
Private services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
