He is the son of Arville and Ila Mable Petty Prigga. He married Thelma Mae Bradford on 22 Jul 1939. He served during WW II in the Utah Infantry as a PFC.

AMERICAN FORK - Funeral services for Albert Roy Byrnes, 53, American Fork, who died Monday in a Salt Lake City hospital, will be held Thursday at 11 a m in the American Fork First LDS Ward Chapel.
Mr. Byrnes was born Sept. 30, 1917, in Lincoln, Neb., a son of Orville and Da Mable Petty Prigga Byrnes. He married Thelma Mae Bradford on July 22, 1939, in New Castle, Wyo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple.
He was an active member of the LDS Church. He was a construction worker.
Survivors include his widow; one son and four daughters, Mrs. Tom (Alberta) Kalma, Mrs. John (Charlotte) Atkins, Bobbie Jo tad Richard Byrnes, all of American Fork; Mrs. Thomas (Wyona) Frazier, Paramount, Calif.; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Byrnes, Billings, Mont.; Elmer Prigga, Maryland; Harold Prigga, West Virginia; six sisters, Mrs. Margaret Loughrey, Clinton, Iowa; Mrs. Delia Reedy, Mrs. Hannah Hudson, Mrs. Ila Davilbiss, Mrs. Louise Yonkey, Gladys Prigga.
Friends may call at the Anderson and Sons Mortuary tonight until 9 pm and Thursday until 10:30 am. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
