Watervliet, Nov. 28 (Special) -- Charles Abel, 62, long a resident of this community, died at his home at 10:00 p.m. Tuesday following an illness of several years. He was born in Watervliet Township, December 12, 1883 and lived his entire life in the township and city, except for a few years spent in Chicago.
Besides his wife, Clara, he leaves a son, Pfc. Robert Abel, in service in the Philippines; a brother, Arthur of Watervliet; and two sisters, Miss Lena Abel of Washington DC, and Mrs. Ruth Hanselman of Brookfield, IL.
The body is at the Hutchins Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.
