Funeral services for Hazel B. Roy, age 81 of Raymondville will be held on Monday (April 14th) at 12:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will be in the spring at White Church Cemetery in Lisbon.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday (April 13th) from 2:00-6:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Roy passed away at her home Wednesday evening surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are her children Linda Gering & her husband Mike of Norwood, Patricia Larrow of Lafayette IN, Beverly Benway husband Gilbert of Raymondville, Cindy Roy of Norwood, Reginald Roy Jr. of Lafayette IN, Brenda Paige & her husband Rick of Norfolk, Paul Roy & his wife Donna of Norfolk, a sister Joanne Murphy of Syracuse; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Her husband Reginald L. Roy Sr.; a son David Roy; a brother Charles Murphy and four sisters Ella Murphy, Rosalie Ritchie, Barbara Supensky & Muriel Moncrief predeceased her.

Hazel was born on Sept 2, 1932 in Richville NY, a daughter of the late Alfred & Mayfred (Kio) Murphy. She attended W. Pierrepont and Lisbon Schools for her education and then married Reginald L. Roy on February 25, 1950 at the Lisbon Wesleyan Church. During her career she co-owned and operated a farm with her husband in Lisbon for a period, worked at the Norfolk Paper Mill and then General Motors where she retired from after 32 years as a machine operator.

She was a past member of the Knitting Club in Brasher Falls and started a fund at General Motors which benefited needy families. She enjoyed car shows and racing, mechanical work, knitting, crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family.
