Mrs. Gayle Hovelmeier Roberts, age 67 of Jackson, TN, passed away on April 8, 2014 at Forest Cove Nursing Center in Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11 a.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home. Dr. Phil Jett, Dr. Brent Lay, and Bro. Larry Murphy will officiate the service. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m., at Bevill Cemetery in Henry County, TN.
Mrs. Roberts was born on November 11, 1946 in Paris, TN to the late Charles Hilary and Nannie Verlie Page Hovelmeier. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church where she worked for many years in the preschool department and in the church office.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Roberts, who passed away in 1999.She is survived by two daughters, Tonya Butler (Charles Jr.) of Jackson, and Jamie Corley (Thom) of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Natalie Scroggin (Cory), Allyson McGuire (Keith), Rance Corley, and Tatum Corley; two great-grandchildren, Della Scroggin and Suzanne Scroggin.Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5 -7 p.m., in the North
