Herman Wilhelm Albert Prieve, 79, a lifetime resident of this community, passed away Wednesday, June 15, at Meeker County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Prieve was born in Acoma Township, McLeod County, February 18, 1876. He was confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma. He was married to Anna Groskreutz at the Acoma Lutheran Church, in Acoma. Mrs. Prieve passed away in 1920. He is survived by seven children, Mrs. William Dornsbach of Litchfield, Mrs. Clarence Berquist of Dassel, George, Ben, Elmer and Oliver of Litchfield and Reuben of Dassel; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Services were held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield Sunday June 19th at 2:30 p.m. the Rev. John Raabe officiating. Music was by St. Paul's Lutheran Church choir, Mrs. Fred Schultz organist. Bearers were August Kuehl, Fred Rosenow, Frank Dollershell, Herman and Adolph Schultz and Edward Ross. Interment was in Ripley Cemetery.
