Daughter of Ebenezer C. and Arrenia/Irena Emeline (nee Brown) Parsons. Went by her middle name, Elizabeth "Lizzie".

Wife of John H. Hastings, who Lizzie wed circa 1897. It was the second marriage for each. Lizzie's prior marriage was to a, it appears, Neal. (Lizzie's eldest child who lived, Nora, had maiden name Neal, though it's not 100% clear whether that was her surname at birth, or if she in early childhood assumed that name as it was the last name of her foster parents who she lived with and who raised her. Nora's foster mother, Matilda E. Parsons Neal [1839-1930; buried in Seaford's Odd Fellows Cem.], was Lizzie's paternal aunt, the slightly older sister of Lizzie's father.)

The 1910 Census indicates that Lizzie had, by 4 May 1910, given birth to 13 children, only two who were still alive.

Was a longtime Blades resident.

Passed away at the home of her daughter Clara E. Hastings Fry, in Pennsylvania.

Lizzie was additionally survived by her children Nora F. Neal Isaacs (see note further above; while growing up, Nora lived with and was raised by a Neal couple [elderly Joseph Neal died in 1902, whereafter it solely was widowed Matilda Parsons Neal who raised her, from age 8 onward]) of near Cokesbury, Sussex Co. and Marshall H. Hastings of Blades, as well as her siblings Joseph B. Parsons (this is presumably the person of that name who's buried in Blades Cem., Blades, DE) of near Sharptown, MD, George W. "Wesley" Parsons (1879-1955; see his Find A Grave memorial in Mardela Memorial Cem., Mardela Springs, Wicomico Co., MD) of near Hebron, MD, and Fannie M. Parsons Rogers (1885-1966; see her Find A Grave memorial in Laurel Hill Cem., Laurel, Sussex Co., DE) of Delmar.
