She was married to Dale Icenbice on June 1, 1948 in Grinnell, Iowa. They lived and farmed in the Grinnell area. They were the parents of Michael, Patricia, Steven, Diane, David and Darlene. Dale died in September of 1978.
On August 17, 1979, she was united in marriage to Warren Johnson in Grinnell and they continued to farm near Grinnell. She was employed for DeLongs in Grinnell for 22 years and retired from there in 1988.
She and Warren moved to Cass Lake near Bemidji, Minnesota in 1988. While there she was employed for several years at the Iowana Resort and later Teal's SuperValu. They returned to Grinnell in 2004.
Beverly held a love for the outdoors and was passionate for nature and animals. She enjoyed camping, fishing, bird watching and gardening. She enjoyed several activities including arts and crafts, sewing and making braided rugs. She was an avid fan of high school and college basketball and enjoyed listening to country music and following in concert the Howard Davis Band.
