This is my grandma. It would take a full book to include the precious memories I have of my grandparents and their love for us and of all the stories they told us of their life experiences and our family. Glennie Mae Thomason was the daughter of George Washington Thomason and Katie Belle Waggoner. She had 11 siblings. Glennie and W. T. "Buster" Snipes were married 25 July 1929 in Greer Co., OK. They had 3 sons: Stan, David and Rob. David passed away from scarlet fever at the age of 2 in 1941. No grandma could have loved her children or grandchildren more than my grandma. I have memories of her taking us to the Tastee Freeze in Mangum, Greer Co., OK for old-fashioned hamburgers, rolling around on the floor with us and singing songs and playing games, taking us to the city pool and park on visits, taking my hand into her own hand when I was little and spanking her own hand telling me "not to touch". She lived a long life to almost 92 years old and is greatly missed, but I know where she is now and that I will see her again someday.
