Willie Jean Gaines was born in New Albany. She lived in Collierville, Tenn., and in Amory for 45 years. She was a 1960 graduate of Amory High School, and she attended Itawamba Community College. She was employed with the Amory Garment Company for many years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed being a ham radio operator and working with crafts.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Robert Gaines.
