She was born and raised in Oconee County and was a long time resident of Marietta. At the time of her death she was a resident of Mulberry Grove Senior Living Center. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Thomas Dempsey.
She is survived by her daughters Claire Dempsey Huie of Rydal, GA and Ernestine Dempsey Brinson of Watkinsville, GA; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
