Trinkell Shantell Blake-Washington, 38, of Folkston, passed away on Sunday, March 30, at St. Vincent Hospital (Southside) following a lengthy illness.

She was born on November 26, 1975 to Malachi and Wendy Blake in Waycross. She was a member of the graduating Class of 1994 at Charlton County High School where she participated in the Marching Band as a clarinet player, a member of the Flag Corp and she was also on the basketball team.

Trikell was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she mentored the youth in the Sunshine Band and she attended Okefenokee Technical College where she studied to be a RN. Her employment years were spent at Roblow, West Fraser Pulp Mill and she later became an entrepreneur of Page Plus, a local cell phone and pager business. Trinkell was a fun loving young lady that loved life and living, she enjoyed making others laugh. Her favorite food was seafood and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Trinkell’s loving smile and spirit will surely be missed by everyone that knew her.

Survivors include: her husband, Samuel L. Washington, Jr., of Tifton; her loving sons, Malik Brunson and Kyree Williams, both, of Folkston; her loving parents, Malachi and Wendy Blake, of Folkston; a sister, JadQuay Dasher, Folkston; nine aunts, Sarah Norton, of Waycross, Ethel (Adam) Stafford, Venus Blake and Brenda Sims, all of Folkston, Freddie L. (Vandell, Sr.) Redmon, Densey Jackson and Lisa Frazier, all of Folkston, Alma Watson and Shirley (Joe) Herea, both of Jacksonville; nine uncles,Sammy (Janie) Blake, Sr., Tarboro, Wallace (Denise) Blake, Laundrell Blake (LaQuanda Hamilton), Eugene Frazier, Jr. and Bishop Vandell (Louise) Milton, all of Folkston, Angelo (Shefelah) Blake, Waycross, Elbert (Glenda) Jackson, of Atlanta, Lucious (Yolanda) Jackson, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Willie (Jennifer) Austin, Austin, Texas; her mother in-law, Vesta Washington, Tifton, and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 5, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, located at 18 Mt. Carmel St., Folkston.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, April 6, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Interment in Green Cemetery, Silco.
