Death Follows Long Period of Illinois at Parents' House in Austin, Texas.

Dorothy Jean, and only child of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Clark, passed away at the home of the family in Austin, Texas, Sunday, Dec. 2, 1934, after nearly seven years of illness.

Mr. and Mrs. Clark, the latter a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Pride, are on their way to Manchester with the remains of their daughter. The body will be taken to the home of the grandparents and funeral services will be held from the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. James McInnis, pastor of the Presbyterian church, will have charge of the services. Burial will be made in Oakland cemetery.

Dorothy was born in Manchester July 1, 1921, and at the age of six she fell victim of a disease which left her crippled and all but a helpless invalid. During the years she was the object of the most affectionate and tender care of the parents, who spared no expense in hospital and medical care in the hope that she might be restored to health. During the long period of suffering and helplessness Dorothy was patient and never complained of her lot, and was appreciative of every kindness bestowed upon her.

The news of her death came with crushing force to the grandparents and others near and dear to her here in Manchester. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Clark sympathize with them earnestly in the sorrow that has come to them.
