I spoke with Susan who is a relative of James T. Woods. His daughter Cornelia is her Great Grandparent. She lives in Texas. She wrote and told that her Cousin Cornelia Herrin sent her a note explaining where James T. Woods is buried. This is what she wrote.
According to my cousin, Cornelia Herrin" He is buried in the yard of the house they lived in. The Old Road now runs thru a field east of Hwy 301, North of Nahunta & South of the Satilla River. There are three graves in the field, but there is no stone for James T Woods. The people who owned the property are buried there also." I have also seen it described as Wash Willis Cemetery, Wayne Co., GA. I don't know why they are not buried together. She also said James lived on this property before he died.
