Born March 5, 1961 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of Geneva Thompson Johnson and the late Joe Nathan Johnson.
Brenda was a Anderson College graduate and later worked for Clemson University.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Stewart Crenshaw; 6 children, Desmond O'Neal Pickens, Tamara Gail Pickens, Melody Shannon Pickens, Hannah Ellen Crenshaw, Maura Lacy Crenshaw and Josiah Nathan Crenshaw; 3 grandchildren, Samara, Rashon and Desmond; siblings, Betty Jo Hall, J. Michael Johnson (Aileen), Juanita Know, Johnny Bowen, Patricia Diana Johnson Craus (Florin), Wayne Johnson (Croslena), Johnny Ray Johnson (Michelle), Shania Johnson and Hannah Johnson.
