Mr. John Charles Adcock Sr., 71, of 7846 Hwy. 68 North in Stokesdale died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 1995, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Born in Lee County to the late Spurgeon and Lucy Henley Adcock, he was a retired accountant with AT&T. He was a member of the Stokesdale United Methodist Church and the Stokesdale Masonic Lodge No. 428 A.F.& A.M. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Stokedale United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe McCombs, pastor, officiating and burial following the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Walker Adcock of the home; daughters, Margaret Ellen Adcock of Baltimore, Md. and Martha Adcock Ess of Greensboro; son, John Charles Adcock Jr. of Hampstead, Md. and sister, Flora Adcock Marshall of Stokesdale; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Brooke Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
