Mrs. Flossie C. Poling, age eighty one, of Bristolville, route 1, died at 8:50 am March 3 at Warren General Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past year.
She was born January 23, 1893 in Macksburg to James and Rosaltha (Dyer) Walters.
She married Emmett E. Poling on Oct. 16, 1920 and resided in Warren, Newton Falls, and Niles area for fifty years.
She was of the Methodist faith and a member of SCOPE in Warren, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband Emmett E. Poling; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Marjorie) Cook of Southington, Mrs William (Norma) Reszegi of Warren, two sons, Neil Q. Poling of Mesopotamia, John M. Poling of Bristolville, with whom she made her home; two sisters, Mrs A. C. Kelby of Harrietsville, Mrs. Lena Bates of Massillon, seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 6, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home at 10:30 am by Rev. Lem Stroud and burial was in Southington Reform Cemetery.
