Morse Eugene Butt, 57, 110 Tarter Street, died yesterday, December 8, at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland, following a long illness.

He was born in Pulaski County April 25, 1931, the son of Mary Hines and the late Arnold M. Butt. He was a former sawmill employee and a disabled Marine veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Hines; his former wife, Wanda Vanhook; one son, Jeffery Joe Butt, Indianapolis, Indiana; one daughter, Sonya Ingram, Bloomington, Indiana; four brothers, Elder Arnold Butt, Jr. and Gilbert Butt, both of Science Hill, Elder Wendell Butte and Clifford Butt, both of Somerset; one sister, Jenetta King, Morgantown, Indiana; and two grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arnold M. Butt.

Services will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home with Brother Edmond Vanhook and the Reverend David Bullock officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at Pulaski Funeral Home.
