Charles E. Agans, 89, husband of the late Nancy Hoffman Agans, died Sunday morning, July 9, 1944, at his home in Neshanic Station. He had been in failing health for some time

A retired farmer, Mr. Agans attributed his long life to the fact that he also believed in trying to be cheerful and to get as much enjoyment out of life as possible. His special hobby was attending fairs and Sunday School picnics and he boasted of having been a steady patron at the Flemington and Trenton Fairs for the past 50 years.

Mr. Agans was a member of the Neshanic Reformed Church and of Wide Awake Council Jr. O U. A. M.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Walter E. Tolman, of Three Bridges Road, Neshanic Station, with whom he had made his home for the past 16 years; one son, Howard D. Agans of Three Bridges; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
