George W. LANGWORTHY Sr., of Worthington, died November 10, 1893, and was buried on Sunday the 13th. He was born June 13, 1816, and was therefore past 77 years of age. The deceased came to Greene County at a very early day—when Worthington was but a trading post on the canal. He was probably the oldest resident of Worthington and by many years the oldest merchant in Greene County. He was a useful citizen, an honest gentleman and a true Christian. His life has been a noble one and a pure one. Well known throughout the county as he was, he leaves behind a host of friends, who extend to the family and relatives their deepest sympathy. Buried Worthington Cemetery.
