"Mrs. Bessie M. Head, 81, of Rosendale, died Thursday morning in a St Joseph hospital. She was the widow of the late Charles Head and a lifelong resident of Andrew County.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Whitesville; two sons, Robert Head of San Bruno, Calif., and James Head of Rosendale; two sisters, Miss Alice Pemberton of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Clara Davidson of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Breit & Hawkins Chapel. The Rev. Albert F. Mutti officiated with burial in the Savannah cemetery." Savannah Reporter and Andrew County Democrat (Savannah, Missouri), April 6, 1972
