Obit For; Mitchell Thomas David, age 63, of Kissee Mills, MO.

Mitchell Thomas David suddenly passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at his residence. He was born May 31, 1949, the son of Byron C. and Lessie Thomas David in Springfield, MO.

On June 2nd, 1973 at Nevada, MO., Tom and Elaine (Tillery) were wed. Tom, loyal servant to Christ, was an active member at Riverview Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking and serving at church and family gatherings. Well known as "Tom the Welder", he was quick to help those in need, and loved to (in his words) "take on nightmare jobs". Tom loved scuba diving, shopping, & ice skating, and was an avid reader of naval novels, with particular interest in submarines.

Survivors include his sweet wife, Elaine of Kissee Mills, MO; two daughters: Olivia McRae of Kissee Mills, MO, and Elizabeth London and husband Matt of St Louis, MO; sister, Anna and husband Larry Bridges of Springfield, MO; and brother, Bill David of Kissee Mills, MO.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister in-law Sherry Ann David.
Funeral service will be on Sat., June 16, 10:00 AM at the Riverview Bible Baptist Church in Forsyth, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Fri., June 15, at the Forsyth Whelchel Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Kissee Mills Cemetery at Kissee Mills, MO. Memorials may be made to the Riverview Bible Baptist Church, 13901 U. S. Hwy 160, Forsyth, MO., 65653.
