Wayne K. Banta Sr., 67,of Hummelstown, passed away on March 19, 2014.
He was born July 27, 1946 in Kingston, PA, a son of the late Sterling J. Banta, Sr. and Margaret Jones Banta.
Wayne was a graduate of Millersville University and was a self employed contractor. He enjoyed playing golf, and watching NASCAR as well as other sports..
Wayne is survived by his wife, Lorraine Yaksic Banta; son, Keith Banta of Hershey; daughter, Laine Bentz of Highspire; six grandchildren; sister, Joyce Wroble of Lititz and brother, Sterling J. Banta Jr.,
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 7th at 11:00am in the Chapel at Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 East Derry Rd., Hershey. Visitation will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc. 7790 Grayson Road Harrisburg, PA 17111,or to the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Rd. Camp Hill, PA 17011.
