Funeral services for Albert Bockelman, 60, lifelong resident of the farm on which he was born near Chatsworth, were held at 9:30 Monday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church. Fr. L. Friedman officiated at the requiem high mass with burial in St. Mary's cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral home.
Mr. Bockelman, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack Friday morning, was born April 19, 1899, a son of Frank and Mary Bockelman. He was one of ten children. He never married.
Survivors include two brothers, Tony of Hawarden and Chris of Alcester and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives from a distance who attended the funeral include Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gabel, Mr. and Mrs. Hillary Kiefer and Ray Havey, all of Charles City, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Balster and Mrs. Rose Cox of Jamestown, N.C., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kolbeck of Salem, S.D.
Mr. and Mrs. Milo Pick of Granville, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Krogman and Leo Krogman of Ashton, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Barr of Sioux City and Miss Jo Ann Tooley of Beresford.
