Alex Tribune, Alex, Grady Co., OK, Friday, November 25, 1927: "Death of C. W. Burcher - C. W. Burcher died at his home in Alex, last Thursday night, Nov. 17, 1927, aged 50 years. His death was due to a complication of diseases from which he had been a sufferer for a long time. He was twice married and was the father of twelve children, eight of whom with his widow survive him. The funeral services were held Friday conducted by Eld. O. V. Farr, of the Church of Christ, of which the deceased was a member, and burial was made in the Morris cemetery."
