Frank Wallace Whitaker was born on November 7, 1923 in Elba, Idaho, and passed away on March 29 2014 in Bountiful Utah. Frank was the son of Frank Sanford Whitaker and Metilda Ann Darrington. He married Grace Inez McNeil on November 27, 1946 in Burley Idaho and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.

Frank enjoyed gardening and working with wood. He won awards for his manicured yard and garden and was honored to be Grand Marshal of the Bountiful Handcart Days parade representing the US Navy.

Frank proudly served in the US Navy and as Frank would say," I was at the beach party at Iwo Jima."

He and Grace toured the USA in there Ford truck and 5th wheel after retiring. They then turned there hearts to serve the Lord, going on 11 different Genealogical missions microfilming documents from Hawaii to Georgia and states in between. Frank was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in many different callings including a temple worker. He loved to play card and dice games and spent many hours doing this with family and friends.

Frank is survived by his beautiful wife, Grace; his children: Patricia Lynne Killian ( Dennis), Joy Williams (David), and Frank Neil Whitaker (Jill). They have 17 grandchildren and 57 great-grand children.

Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Bountiful Utah. .
