This woman LOVED family, cherished friendships and never knew a stranger. Her heart was as big as the universe and her love unconditional. She would lift your spirits with the twinkle of her eye, chew you out royally but you knew she still loved you, told it like it was with minimal words and was always clowning. Nature amazed her, as did most things; definitely had a green thumb and everything she planted thrived -- including people.
Wilma's older brother died in 1951 and shortly after the burial her father left her and her mother and moved to Arizona to live with his daughters from his first marriage. This left Wilma feeling worthless and unloved. Think that's why any family was so important to her. Wilma's stepfather, Wesley Shelton (#95044390), was very good to her and made up for the father she never had.
Family was her kingdom.
She will be missed by everyone she touched... including me.
Wife, Mother of two, Nana (Grandmother) of eight, Great-Grandmother of 2; Friend of unknown hundreds.

Gravesite Details

She didn't want to be buried in the ground, so her family made a rock and placed her inside with a beautiful brass nameplate.
