Usually went by "B. Ray Rarick," "Ray" or "Red". Farmer, railroad employee and construction worker; WW I Veteran of Battery A of the 108th Field Artillery, 53rd Field Artillery Brigade, 28th Infantry Division, PA National Guard.

After returning from France and being discharged, he apparently eloped with Mary Yeisly, being married on 18 Jun 1919 in the Hagerstown Presbyterian Church (both were Methodists), Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland.

He was a charter member of the "Thomas H. Clapham" Post 410 of the American Legion in Mifflinburg, PA, along with his brother-in-law Charles H. Yeisly. [Robert Burns Rearick, who was also a charter member, is no immediate relation and should not be confused with Ray's brother, Robert Van Bleck Rearick.]
