Jill was born on Oct. 7, 1954, in Peoria, Ill., to Earl and Maxine (Acuff) Blane.
She lived in Peoria and surrounding towns for most of her life, earning a Bachelor of Science at OSF Saint Francis College of Nursing, a Master of Science in nursing at the University of Illinois-Chicago, and a Ph.D. in psychology at Saybrook University.
She worked as a nurse in all three local hospitals and as a nurse practitioner in Kewanee and Peoria. She taught courses on mental health at Methodist College of Nursing and most recently taught graduate courses in psychology for the University of Phoenix online.
Jill was also a therapist and writer focused on women's health and wellness, a topic about which she cared deeply.
Jill married Michael Bean in 1992. They moved to Florida in 2010. She loved the beach and the warm weather, traveling with Michael, and taking care of her dog Ava. She read voraciously.
She loved visiting with her grandchildren, whether in Florida, in Illinois, or by text and videochat. Words cannot express how much she loved her family or how much they love her.
Jill is survived by her husband, Michael. Also surviving are her children, Chad (Lorraine) Hazelwood, Sunny (Paul) Stalter-Pace and Casey (Jeff) Kimler; her stepson, Erik Bean; her beautiful grandchildren, Bradley and Brooke Hazelwood, Addison and Andrew Kimler and Arthur Stalter-Pace; her sisters, Jan (Jim) Bush and Joy (David) Martin; and her mother, Maxine.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl.
Jill's family wishes to thank the staff at Manatee Memorial Hospital and Tidewell Hospice for making her last days as peaceful as possible.
