Info from Obit of Herbert Howard Boring According to the Pension Records where Melvina applied for a pension she stated that Ephraim deserted her but she did not give the date that happened. Ephraim Later married Mary C. Boring. On his marriage Application to Mary he stated that he had not been married before. In viewing the records available it looks as though Melvina and Ephraim were never divorced and as such Ephraim committed Bigamy by remarrying. Ephraim's Death Certificate does not mention any spouse.
By 1880 Ephraim had left Melvina - However Melvina had a son Howard Herbert in 1881 - Was Ephraim the father. In 1880 Ephraim was living with a girl named "Hennie"* with a child" and Melvina alone with her children....
