James M. Oborn, 67 former president of the Union and Jordan Irrigation and Pipe Line company, died at his home in Union after a two year illness.
Prominent in Union city affairs, including director of the Midvale State bank and a member of the East Jordan old folks' committee.
He was born at Union in 1869, a son of John and Emma Ann Worlton Oborn, Utah pioneers.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Martha Vance Oborn; a daughter, Iona Pearl Oborn and nine brothers and sisters, William Oborn, Mrs. Flora Smart and Annie Walker of Utah, Leo Oborn of Salt Lake City, Henry Oborn of Vernon, Frank Oborn of Sandy, Charles Oborn and Cyrus Oborn of Bridgeland and Mrs. Emily Harker of Shelley, Idaho.
