Services for Chester Murrah, 58, were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Gipson Chapel with Rev. Willard Forsythe officiating and burial in Knight Cemetery.
Mr. Murrah was born in Angelina County, Sept. 18;, 1915, and died Friday. He was a retired serviceman, was a veteran of WWII and had resided in Lufkin most of his life.
Survivors: son, Gerald Kendrick, Lufkin; daughter, Karon O. Murrah of Athens; mother, Mrs. S. V. Murrah of Burke; brothers, Charles and Hubert, both of Lufkin and Elroy of Burke; sisters, Mrs. Alice Johnson of Burke and Mrs. Louise Largent of Houston.
