Inscription
This is a beautiful gray granite monument in Section C Lot 41.
It can be located by entering the cemetery through the the Cold Springs Road entrance, turn left and drive down Chestnut Street until you see the Ballou family mausoleum on the right. This monument is on the right near the mausoleum.
There are inscriptions on all four sides.

Note: Cyrus Trowbridge was a Lieutenant in the War of 1812.
In 1819 New York State Governor Clinton promoted him to the rank of Brigadier General in the New York Militia.
His wife, the former Nancy Whipple was aboard the "Seneca Chief" at the celebration of the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825.
