CARL JONES BEASLEY
A widely know resident of the Easter Irrigation District and resident of Oatricia since 1919, Carl Jones (Pete) Beasley died Nov 30, 1964 in a farm fire at Patricia. He was 74.
Born in Longmont Colorado in 1889, he came to Patricia district 45 years ago, farming and ranching until 1962, when he retired and remained on the farm until the time of his death.
At one time Pete Beasley was recognized as one of the largest sheep ranchers in the district.
He was survived by his wife, Sarah of Brooks; six daughters, Mrs. Irma Ponting, Vancouver, Mrs. Jessie Lindstrom, Vancouver, Mrs. Joy Young, Brooks, Mrs. Yvonne Robinson, Patricia, Mrs. Violet Robinson, Brooks, and Mrs. Maxine Dear, Banff. Six sons, Lee, of Patricia, Verline of Brooks, Floyd of Brooks, Jay of roselynn, Leonard of Brooks, Fred of Dawson Creek. B.C & 30 grandchildren.
Services were conducted in Brooks United Church Dec 5, 1964 and interment in Brooks Cemetery.
