Jamie (Speedy) Allen Frederick, 58, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Fort Wayne, IN.

Mr. Frederick was born December 29, 1955, in Huntington, IN, to Glen and Clair (Larkey - Teusch) Frederick, Jr. His parents preceded him in death. (Dad, Step-Dad and best friend) Dean (Dianna) Teusch survive in Huntington, IN.

Mr. Frederick served in the United States Army. He was a roofer by trade. He was always ready and willing to help anyone. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Carriage House in Fort Wayne. He was known as someone you just couldn't help but love by people in the Community.

Mr. Frederick is survived by one daughter, Hope Frederick (fiance' Gustavo Garcia), Harlan, IN; one son, William Frederick (Trisha Pepper), Fort Wayne, IN; two sisters, Jacqueline Snider, Huntington, IN, Peggy (Bill) Meads, Huntington, IN; one step-sister, Ann Waters, Fort Wayne, IN; three grandsons, Flaviano Lorenzo, Gustavo Garcia and Juan Garcia; and one granddaughter, Lindsay Renee Frederick. 8 nieces/nephews and 13 great nieces/nephews.

He will be sadly missed by his friends and family.

Along with his parents, Mr. Frederick was preceded in death by one son, Jamie D. Frederick; two sisters, Michelle Kline and Marjorie Frederick.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at First Brethren Church, 245 S. Marion Road Huntington, IN with Rev. Diana Teusch officiating.

The Allen County coroner's office has released the identity of a pedestrian killed Saturday night after he was struck by two vehicles.

Jamie Allen Frederick, 58, of Fort Wayne, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 10:55 p.m. Saturday just south of Lake Avenue. Frederick's death from blunt-force trauma has been ruled the fifth traffic fatality in Allen County in 2014.

Witnesses told police they saw Frederick walking east, attempting to cross Coliseum just south of Lake. He reportedly walked into the path of a vehicle traveling south on Coliseum. Witnesses said he tried to stand up after being struck by the first vehicle. While trying to stand up, he was hit by a second vehicle traveling south on Coliseum.

The Fort Wayne Police Department, the F.A.C.T. team, the coroner's office, and the Allen County prosecutor' office are continuing their investigation of Frederick's death
