Alta Catheren Bird Cecil Embry, 87, of Rineyville, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.
She was a member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church and worked at Crucible Steel and E-Town Sportswear.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Henry Cecil; her second husband, Devaul Embry; her parents, William Edward and Sarah Catheren (Phillips) Bird; a daughter, Judy Diane Cecil Padgett; two sisters, Betty Duke and Violet Bland; two brothers, Edward Kerr (Buck) Bird and Charles David Bird.
She is survived by a sister, Margie Cook; a brother, Harold Bird; five grandchildren, Larry (Autumn) Barnes, Phillip (Therease) Barnes, Michael (April) Barnes, Alton Padgett and Sherry (Michael) Rogers; 14 great grandchildren, Bradley, Jordan, Brandon, Anthony, Jill, Chris, Chelsea, Daniel, Alex, Aislynn, Martina, Wyatt, Coree and Gavin; and two great great grandchildren.
Burial in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
