John R. Buck, 81, of Kansas City, Kansas, and previously of Bonner Springs, Kansas, died on March 28, 2014. He was born on July 21, 1932 in Slater, Missouri. He was the second of five children born to C.L. Lansden and Etta (Atterberry) Buck. He grew up in the Marshall, Missouri area and graduated from Marshall High School. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He worked in the Teamsters Union Local #41 for 31 years, driving for Yellow Freight. Later he operated an Executive Airport Transportation Service. He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings: Charles Buck and Rose DeLuce; and one grandson, Spencer Buck. He is survived by six children, two sisters, twenty-two grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Funeral Services: April 2, 2014 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
