She was born July 7, 1928, in Eugene, to Clarence and Marie Coleman Albro. She married Roland Meyer on May 14, 1949, in Reno, Nev. He died Nov. 21, 2003.
A graduate of Union High School in 1946, she was employed as a buyer and bidder for local electric companies, including Ruth Lathrope Electric, Beacon Electric and Clark Electric. She also was a real estate agent for World Realty.
Meyer enjoyed gardening, walking, travel, baking and was a seamstress. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha.
Survivors include a daughter, Chris Holmes of Springfield; two sisters, JoAnn Nightengale of Waldport and Pixie Spankel of Portland; and one grandchild. A son, Douglas Meyer, died in 1973.
