Mark graduated from L.W. Higgins High School, Class of 1986. He served his country as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Marine Corps during Desert Storm, achieving the rank of Corporal. Mark worked as District Manager (Baton Rouge/Lafayette) for Winn Dixie Supermarkets and previously worked with Wal-Mart and managed several area stores, the last of which was #532 (Gonzales, LA).
Mark was a Reserve Officer with the Gonzales City Police Department and was a founding member of the Wild Pigs Motorcycle Club, Bayou Chapter. He was also a member of Rotary International and worked to establish Project Kidz Kove, a park in Gonzales for special needs children. He served officially as fundraising committeeman and unofficially as a dedicated and tireless volunteer of this community project. He will be sadly missed by his family, co-workers, friends and all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 11 AM. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31, from 5 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Tuesday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
