Mrs. G. W. Tunnell Dead.
Mrs. G. W. Tunnell died early this morning at her home, 216 Exchange Street. Death was due to complication of diseases. Mrs. Tunnell fell from a rocking chair about six months ago, breaking her hip. She never fully recovered from the accident. Funeral arrangements have not been made, as the family is waiting to hear from a son who lives in Missouri.
Mary Callahan was born in Clay County, Illinois, in 1832. She was married to G. W. Tunnell in 1857, in Miland, Mo., and moved to Kansas with her husband in 1879, settling in Ness County, where she lived until two months ago, when she moved to Emporia. Mrs. Tunnell had been an active member of the Christian Church for fifty years. besides her husband, she leaves a son, J. R. Tunnell, who lives in Missouri, and six brothers.

FUNERAL OF MRS. TUNNELL
The funeral of Mrs. G. W. Tunnell, who died at her home, 215 Exchange, Saturday morning, was held on Monday afternoon from the home at 2 o'clock. The Rev. C. A. Palmer of the First Christian Church had charge of the services. A choir composed of Mrs. Arthur Haley, Miss Sadie Francis, F. L. Black and Robert Roberts furnished appropriate. The pall-bearers were George Chitty, Peter Hines, L. H. Johnson, Julius Sickler and W. L. Diggs. The interment was made in Maplewood Cemetery.
