Mrs. James Wissinger, of near Marion Center, died on Thursday evening aged about 55 years. On Thursday she was able to be around her home, attending to her usual duties. In the evening she took suddenly ill and complained of a pain in her breast. A physician was sent for, but she died before he arrived. Mrs. Wissinger is survived by her husband and the following children: Robert, George, Ezekiel[sic-Harvey E.?], Jennie and Blair Wissinger. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and the funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Marion Center this afternoon. The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Ernest Frychland. The interment was made in the Marion Center cemetery.

A daughter of John and Margaret (Shirly) Lambing, of Cherryhill township, Indiana County. She was united in marriage on 10 October 1867 to James Wissinger .
Six children were born to this marriage:
~ Robert, born Aug. 18, 1868, now engaged in farming in East Mahoning township, this county;
~ Margaret Elizabeth Jane, born May 6, 1870, who lives at home;
~ George A., born Jan 19, 1873, now a farmer and stock dealer, living in East Mahoning township;
~ Harvey E., born Dec. 10, 1876, who is engaged in the lumber business and lives in Green township;
~ John I., born July 23, 1881, who died in infancy;
~ Franklin Blair, born Aug. 22, 1884, now a farmer in Rayne township.
