Funeral services for James Falstick, 49, of Glencoe were held on Monday, Oct. 7, from the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe. Officiating was the Rev. Kristi Rockswold.
Mr. Falstick died on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002.
Special music for the service was "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art." Serving as pallbearers were Thomas Larson, David Lujan, Cesar Torres, Takayuki Hirata, Jarad Hahn and Bernie Hill. Honorary pallbearers were Boyd Wallace and Don Dibble. Interment followed the chapel service in the Glencoe Cemetery.
Mr. Falstick was born to Clement J. and Edna M. (Hardesty) Falstick on Jan. 10, 1953, at the U.S. Army Hospital in Yokohama, Japan. He grew up in Gaithersburg, Md., and graduated from its high school in 1971.
In June 1971, Mr. Falstick enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served two terms until his honorable discharge in February 1975. While serving in the Army, Mr. Falstick had been trained in computer programming. He had worked for Compuware.
On July 8, 2002, Mr. Falstick was united in marriage with Katherine Mosiman in Glencoe. The couple made their home here in Glencoe, and he continued working for Compuware.
Mr. Falstick enjoyed playing in pool leagues, trap shooting and spending time with friends.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Falstick of Glencoe; step children, Adam Hill, Amy (Jarad) Hill-Hahn and Amanda Hill.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and brother, Charles Falstick.
