Larry L. Crummett, 71, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Aug. 21, 2013, at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, Florida after a very short battle with lung cancer.
He was born June 22, 1942 in Chenoa, Illinois to Lester and Frances Leonard Crummett. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters Betty Chandler, Donna Cantrell and Janet Flannery. Larry married Janet Merrill, and three children were produced from this marriage. He later married Janice Griffith Smith. She survives in Bloomington.
He is also survived by his three children, Larry "Thad" Crummett, Matt(Lisa), Colfax and Carrie(Phillip "Bobby")Busick; five grandchildren, Chelsey Terven, Courtney Boyd, Kody Ross and Hannah and Ryleigh Crummett; three great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Lester, Jaylee Lester and Hunter Boyd and two sisters, Sharon (Chuck) Richard and Patricia Wilkinson, and several nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Army.
