The following obituary appeared in "The Indiana Gazette" (Indiana, PA) on Wednesday, September 6, 2000, page 10, column 3:

Florence A. Kuntz, 94, Indiana, died Tuesday, Sept. 5,2000, at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana.

The daughter of George and Alda S. Hunter Wissinger, she was born Nov. 30, 1905, in East Mahoning Township.

Mrs. Kuntz lived her entire life in Indiana County. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church of Tanoma, where she played piano and taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years.

She was a 4-H leader and also a charter member of the Marion Center Grange. She was a member of the Pomona Grange and the State and National Grange, where she held various offices.

Surviving are three daughters: Marlene Mikesell and her husband, Robert, Marion Center; Eulene Risinger and her husband, Russell, Indiana; Virginia Sue Clawson and her husband, George, Blairsville; a foster son, James Race, and his wife, Karen, Creekside RD 1; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earle Kuntz, in 1988; two brothers, James Hunter and Harry Wissinger; five sisters: Nancy, Mary and Eva Wissinger, Charlotte Toreskie and Bertha Pardee.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Robinson-Lytle Inc., Indiana, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dennis E. Lawton officiating. Interment will be in the Marion Center Memorial Cemetery.
