Donald A. Emch, 78, of Perrysburg, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001, at Medical College of Ohio Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Washington Township, Ohio, near Tontogany on May 1, 1923, to Alva and Edna (Artz) Emch, and on September 12, 1945, in Perrysburg, married Beulah H. (Henry) Emch who preceded him in death on May 11, 2001.

Don was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII, where he was a member of the 849th Bomb Squadron. Upon returning from service, he began his lifelong career of farming. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Perrysburg.

Surviving are his daughter, Karis J. (Don) Overmyer; sons, Gary L. (Barbara) Emch, Galen D. Emch, and Kevin A. Emch; granddaughter, Kelly S. Emch; brother, Harold "Ted" (Ruth) Emch; sister, Helen M. (Paul) Lintner, and sister-in-law, Ethel Emch. Don was preceded in death by wife, Beulah, and brothers Norman, Howard, and Vernon Emch.

Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg (874-3133), where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2001, with Pastor Terry Powell, officiating. Burial will be at New Belleville Ridge Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to either the First United Methodist Church, Perrysburg, or to the Visiting Nurses.
