YORK Minnie Lou (Cessna) Tracy, 84, died at the York Hospital on Tuesday March 25, 2014. She was the wife of the late Jacque E. Tracy, who passed away in 2009. Lou and Jacque would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on January 26, 2014. Lou was born in Bedford County to her parents, the late J. Blaine and Vera P. (Grubb) Cessna. She was a swimming instructor for more than 40 years and taught swimming at the Dallastown Area School District, the Red Lion Area School District, the York YMCA, the Jewish Community Center and her private pool. She was a former employee of Myers' Salads, past president of the York County Chapter of the United Ostomy Association and a longtime volunteer at the Brethren Home Community in New Oxford, Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, as well as church activities. She was a 1947 graduate of Robert P. Smith High School in Yellow Creek, and Thompson Business College of York. She was a member of York First Church of the Brethren for more than 50 years, where she was a Deacon, a greeter, past member of the church board and president of the Horizons Sunday School Class. Lou is survived by a son, Steven J. Tracy and his wife Deborah A. of Jacobus; twin daughters, Jill D. McCracken and her husband Thomas, and Jan D. Vuono and her husband Charles, all of Dallastown; a brother, Gary B. Cessna and his wife Jeanie of Sylva, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Megan A. Zinn and her husband Matt, Brock D. Tracy and his wife Tracy, Ryan M. McCracken and his wife Carrie, Kevin P. McCracken and his wife Alisha, Erin E. Ferro and her husband Tanner, and Emily J. and Daniel J. Vuono; seven great-granddaughters; and several nieces. Lou was predeceased by a grandson, Bradley C. Vuono. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the York First Church of the Brethren, 2710 Kingston Road, York. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. till the time of the service at the church. Her Pastor, Donald G. Hubbell, will officiate. Burial is in Mount Rose Cemetery.
