Mrs. C. Richardson Dies At Roscoe
Roscoe. - Mrs. Margaret McAffee Richardson, widow of Charles H. and a lifelong resident of Roscoe, died at her home at 1 o'clock Thursday morning at an advanced age. She was born on May 9, 1846 on the McAffee homestead near Roscoe and was married to Charles Richardson on January 16, 1884. She was a teacher in Roscoe and town schools for 29 years and until [ ] years ago was an active worker in the Methodist church of which she was a member. Surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Lillian Horak of Des Moines, Ia., and Miss Minnie Richardson, at home, and a cousin, James McAffee of Roscoe. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Methodist church. The Rev. C.W. Jaycox of Rockford will officiate and interment will be in the Roscoe cemetery.
